Sugar Hill Cafe

RJ & I stopped by recently for lunch at Sugar Hill Cafe in downtown Farmersville. We'd spotted it once before when we were there for a festival and finally were back in the area at lunchtime.

It has the appearance inside of a tea room - antique chairs, linens on the tables, china on display on shelves. They serve lunch daily (closed Mondays however) and have a Sunday buffet that sounded out of this world as our waitress described it

You can order off the menu- sandwiches, burgers, salads, hot lunches and the like or opt for the all-you-can-eat salad bar which also includes a soup and hot dishes.

The day were visited, the salads available included chicken salad (A+), tuna salad, green salad & all the usual accompaniments, and the best chopped broccoli salad I've ever eaten   On the hot side - a delicious lentil soup, real mashed potatoes, a fabulous spicy chicken tetrazzini, and wonderfully buttery and soft homemade yeast rolls. All of this for a meager $7.98 a person!

Homemade desserts are extra but looked mighty tempting. If we weren't stuffed from the lunch, we'd have tried them as well.

If you are anywhere near Farmersville, do yourself a favor and dine at the Sugar Hill Cafe!
