We've passed by Big Dave's Burger Emporium several times and each time commented that we needed to try it. Well, we finally did last Thursday evening. I wasn't really sure what to expect. Big Dave's is located on Arapaho Road (@ Knoll Trail) close to the Tollway and is sort of tucked out of the way - not the easiest place to spot. It's in the same center where Gold's Gym and Conns are but in a strip close to the street. I had read on the Big Dave's web site (bigdavesburgers.com) that they are a fav of the Ticket folks and they do have several other nice reviews from recent customers. Well, I'm here to add to that  The burgers at Big Dave's are grilled to order. Ours were cooked by Dave himself... tasty hand formed and hand cooked patties on fresh sourdough buns with ample helpings of whatever you'd like on yours. I chose the BBQ Burger with bbq sauce, shredded cheddar and grilled onions and RJ picked the classic cheeseburger - mayo/mustard, shredded cheddar cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, onions & pickles. You can get your burgers alone or in a basket with fries but we decided to skip the baskets and get a large order of onion rings to accompany them. Our food was prepared exactly the way we wanted and the burgers were super....plump, juicy and with a well-seasoned grill taste.
Big Dave's is very plain inside - tables and chairs, stools at a bar (it's BYO  and a few tv screens. It's no frills but that's ok because attention is certainly paid to the food.Try it on a Tuesday or Wednesday night and get any burger baskets for $6.99. Well worth it!
