Here's another gem for you if you're in the Plano area- 15th Street Cafe.

Located in downtown Plano, I think this location has been several other restaurants and we'd never tried any of them. We pass by there frequently and recently saw a billboard sign out front sporting their weekend brunch from 10-2. Sounded good to us so the next Sunday, we were there!

Chili Cheeseburger w/Onion Rings

15th Street Cafe is pretty small inside, with maybe 10 tables. You order at the counter and they'll bring your meal to you. We purused the brunch menu with had mostly breakfast items on it but did include a few lunch items- salads and such. There were a few variations of Eggs Benedict and all sounded intriguing but RJ and I both went with the original. Actually, they did substitute shaved ham instead of Canadian bacon but it worked just fine. After a few minutes, here came our meals, both beautifully plated ... two perfectly poached eggs resting on top of piles of delicious thinly sliced ham mounded on a split & toasted English muffin. Plenty of Hollandaise sauce was ladled on top and a healthy serving of country potatoes accompanied.

The staff was friendly and the service was great. The restaurant was clean and the prices were inexpensive. There was a steady stream of folks coming in for to-go orders. We can't wait to give it a second try- maybe for lunch or dinner. I bet they serve a mean burger

UPDATE: RJ and I made a return visit to 15th Street Cafe Friday night to grab some chow- wow, what an extensive dinner menu they have. You can get just about anything from sandwiches and hamburgers to seafood to Mexican food. We just went for something simple. RJ got a Cuban sandwich and I chose the chili cheeseburger. Both were excellent and the staff aimed to please. It was a quiet night and we were the only folks there at the time but the chef checked on our meals and again, the place was spotless. We'll be back soon!
