Picasso's Pizza
Picasso's is a little gem of a find. RJ heard about it when it was at another location, close to his office. he never went but always got good reports from co-workers. When we realized they had relocated at Skillman and Walnut Hill in a newly remodeled shopping center, we thought we'd try.
We've been twice now and we've enjoyed it. We each got their small pizza (person size) both visits along with a small salad. The first time I got the gorgonzola and pear salad - butter lettuce, fresh pear, gorgonzola and pecans with vidalia onion dressing. I confess I have a love of blue cheese and gorgonzola and loved it. However, I am making an attempt to venture out more and not get the same things over and over (even though I know they are good & safe
) I selected a 'starter' Caesar but which also good. They do offer several other interesting selections ~ Warm Tomato Mozzarella Salad, Neapolitan Pizza Salad, Grapes & Goat Cheese Salad, Cobb, etc.

For their pizzas, you can choose from three crusts~ thin, deep-dish and butter crust. Then pick your sauce and they have a bevy of them- Classic Red Sauce, Alfredo Sauce, Pesto Sauce, Garlic Butter and Basil Sauce, Spicy Taco Pizza Sauce, Barbecue Pizza Sauce, Thai Peanut Sauce, Ricotta Cheese, Chicago Style Pizza Sauce, Refried Beans. Toppings are just as plentiful. Being a newbie on the first trip, I decided upon something simple... butter crust with red sauce, green olives and sausage. Mine was good but the second time we went, I went with the thin crust which I did prefer to the thicker butter version.
And on that pizza, I chose Picasso's Super Cheese- Mozzarella, Provolone, Monterrey jack, Parmesan and Romano cheeses, with red sauce. I kind of like the 'plain' pizzas. I enjoy the fancier ones like BBQ chicken, white pizza and so forth once in awhile but give me a cheese or pepperoni any day.
RJ & I both concurred that the atmosphere was pleasant at Picasso's and the service was good. They do offer lots of other things such as pasta, grilled entrées, fish selection, burgers, sandwiches, quesadillas and more. We'll be going back!
