Thursday night to get the holiday weekend started, we drove to Plano to Royal Chopstix on Jupiter Rd. at 14th Street. We've been several times but there's been quite a lapse in time since our last visit....don't know why because we always enjoy the food. I guess it's the ol "too many restaurants, too little time" dilemma.

Royal Chopstix is run by a friendly couple who always remember us and are appreciative of return customers. The place is clean and the chow is great. I tend to get the spicier dishes and went with Orange Chicken. RJ ordered a bowl of Egg Drop soup and Moo Goo Gai Pan. The main dishes are served in cute little 'woks' and entrées come with fried or steamed rice.

My Orange Chicken consisted of nuggets of chicken in a tempura type batter, fried and tossed in a citrusy sauce with and slight amount of heat to it. RJ's soup was flavorful and had plenty of egg swirling throughout. His Moo Goo Gai Pan was chock full of chicken and veggies in a smooth brown sauce.

Royal Chopstix offers an array of meat entrées, vegetarian dishes, soups and appetizers. It's not a fussy place - simple decor but neat as a pin and with good food, you'll want to come back!
