We had several errands to run Saturday morning which left us heading in the direction of Frisco. A light bulb went off in RJ's head- we'd seen a brand new Rudy's BBQ out there on one of our previous travels and were thrilled to find one closer to us than the one in Denton.

We love Rudy's. We used to frequent a location on I35 close to Vista Ridge Mall and were crushed when we drove out one day to find it had turned into a Hooters.  Every time we'd go, we'd take a small cooler to load up on "Q" to take home, that, of course, after we'd stuffed our faces silly while there. We'd get sliced beef, chopped beef, ribs, sausage, chicken, and their Rudy's "Sause" and eat all week long.  Boy, that's good eating.



When you walk into a Rudy's, you see that it's a large room, usually with some sort of outside patio dining areas too. Get in line, ponder the menu and place your order. You can get sandwiches, meats by the pound to go or to eat there, sides and drinks. They'll get your order together and plop in onto wax paper in a big plastic crate. If you're getting meat by the pound to eat there, they'll stick in slices of bread. Grab a bottled soda they keep on ice or one from the fountain, head to a table (long bench style tables) and dig in.  Liberally pour on Rudy's "Sause" and you'll reach nirvana.

Now, we got to Rudy's about 9:45am and went for their breakfast tacos- another REAL treat! They offer brisket, sausage (regular or jalapeno) &  chorizo, stuffed into a flour tortilla along with a heap of fluffy scrambled eggs and cheese.  This time, I got two- a brisket and a jalapeno sausage. RJ went with four- two brisket and two chorizo. He loves their chorizo- it's lean, not greasy and has a wonderful spicy taste.

The new Frisco location is very close to Pizza Hut Park and the Frisco Soccer Complex. I bet as soon as some of the game let out that were taking place while we were there, Rudy's really filled up. I'm sure it's already a favorite in the area.

We've been to the one in Denton several times and to all three in the Austin area. Now, if they'd only put one in Garland, I'd be an extremely happy camper
