Rise & Dine in Addison
Saturday morning and RJ already had a breakfast spot in mind- Rise & Dine in Addison (I know, I know, you think we are STUCK in Addison
Rise & Dine is a franchise and they're already in Missouri, Ohio and the one in Addison- how lucky are we to have one here!
It's very cheerful inside- lots of green color and oak furniture & fixtures. It's spotless too and well-run. We were seated after about a 3-4 minute wait and our waiter was at the table immediately with menus, water and to take our drink orders.
Rise & Dine offers a pretty amazing selection of breakfast items - some new variations I've not seen elsewhere. I liked the sound of the "Sausage Benedict" - thought it sounded very intriguing and it was fabulous. I got to order how I'd like the eggs- soft, medium or hard - I went with medium and they were perfect. When my plate came, it was heaped over with the Sausage Benedict and home fries. The Benedict was two toasted English Muffin halves, topped with two big sausage patties & those wonderful medium eggs, and drenched in a thick, creamy sausage gravy. Those home fries were chopped bits of potatoes that were seasoned and skillet fried - yummy.
RJ picked the regular Eggs Benedict and decided to try a half order of biscuits and sausage gravy. This was another restaurant where he gave the Eggs Benedict a big 10. The biscuits and gravy were a hit too.... coffee, A+.
Can't wait to try their lunch sometime too... sandwiches, wraps, burgers, soups and salads.
The staff was extremely friendly, the manager on duty was making the rounds to check on folks, and our waiter was certainly attentive.
