Sometimes we both get in the mood for seafood. The other night was one of those times. But where to go? It was a week night which meant we didn't want to wander too far.

Well, there's a brand spanking new Shuck-N-Jive that just opened on the George Bush close to 75 and we thought that sounded perfect.

When we pulled up, the parking lot was packed! They are in a new strip center and nothing else in it appeared to be open so we were assuming the crowds were in Shuck-N-Jive.  Hmmmm.... we really hoped there wasn't a wait. So, here we went, opened the door and hooray - no waiting & there were plenty of tables available. Where were all those people? They have a bar area in the back that seemed to be the big draw. I guess they are one of the few watering holes in that area.

The place is nice. It's dark inside, lots of big screen tv's and plenty of good food. We decided on an oyster po-boy and a crab & artichoke sandwich. Split them both so we could try each.  The po-boy was great. But my fav was the crab & artichoke concoction. It was a mixture of the two in a cream cheese base, spread on two roll halves, and toasted until bubbly. Wow! Tasty! Both dishes came with fries. We added a couple of schooners of ice cold beer and were set!

Shuck-N-Jive offers oysters on the half shell, boiled shrimp, seafood po-boys, a few fish entrees. The menu is not terribly extensive but everything on it looked good and we would certainly be willing to try them all.
